Konbanwa! Thank you for attending the make-up lesson on Monday. It was wonderful to see you. Today, we completed Lesson 9 (i-adjectives). Excellent work! We also began Lesson 10 (na-adjectives). As you may have noticed, adjectives are used to modify nouns. They describe or give more information about the noun.
1. When a na -adjective comes before a noun, it needs (na).
Example: kono sakurawa kirei na hana desu. This cherry blossom is beautiful flower.
Here, kirei is used before the noun "hana(flower), so it bucomes kirei na.
2. When a na -adjective is used is after the noun,as the predicate, we don't use (na). We simply add "desu" after the adjective.
Example: sakurawa kirei desu. The cherry blossoms are beautiful.
Here, kirei is used after the noun sakura,so it stays kirei without (na).
For example,"Spy Family wa omoshiroi anime desu, Spy Familyis an interesting anime."
When we describe a noun, we use the i-adjective omoshiroi in its original form, such as omoshiroi anime or omoshiroi hon.
We do not say omoshiroi-na, because i-adjectives do not take na.
From here, we’ll practice making sentences with na-adjectives and using them in conversation. You did a wonderful job today. Thank you again, and see you next week!

Today we studied Lesson 5: “There is / There are” (〜があります / 〜がいます).
First we practiced the basic sentences, and at the end we practiced saying
“There are two notebooks on the desk.”
Please review words such as “うえ” “した” and other location words.
We also practiced how to use questions like “だれが〜?” and “なにが〜?”
Let's enjoy studying Japanese again next week.
