Today's lesson was a lot of fun!
Today, I introduced a restaurant in Japan that serves American-style seafood. At this restaurant, you eat seafood such as shrimp and crab with your hands. I love crab, but you told me that you prefer shrimp because it's much easier to eat than crab! (Haha.) Someday, I'd love to try authentic Maryland blue crab.
Today, we also practiced some useful "survival Japanese" phrases for when you travel to Japan. It may not have been the most traditional lesson topic, but these expressions will definitely come in handy, so please try to remember them.
Next week, I'll introduce a luxurious all-you-can-eat Japanese seafood restaurant, so stay tuned!
I'm also looking forward to this weekend's World Cup soccer match ⚽️. It should be exciting!

Today's lesson was a lot of fun! Thank you for talking so much and sharing your thoughts with me.ありがとうございました！
First, thank you for telling me all about the World Cup. It was really interesting to hear your opinions and experiences related to soccer.
After that, we talked a lot about Star Wars. Thank you for explaining it to someone like me who has never watched it before! I especially appreciated your advice about the viewing order. You recommended watching Episodes 4, 5, and 6 first, then Episodes 1, 2, and 3, and only watching Episodes 7, 8, and 9 if I enjoyed the series. I thought that was excellent advice!
You also mentioned that if I subscribe to Disney+, I should check out Marvel as well. To be honest, I haven't really watched Marvel movies before, so now I'm interested in giving them a try. I had always thought that Big Hero 6 felt like a Marvel movie, so I was surprised to learn that it wasn't exactly what I had assumed. Since I'm a huge Kingdom Hearts fan, that was especially interesting to me.
I was also amazed by how many streaming services you subscribe to!
At the end of the lesson, we talked about life in Ohio. I actually taught Japanese at a university in Ohio for about two years. It was around eight years ago, so talking about Ohio brought back a lot of memories for me. We agreed that living in Ohio without a car can be quite difficult. It was interesting to hear that you also lived in Ohio for about a year and that your father is originally from Ohio. Maybe we were even in Ohio at the same time!
I also shared that I watched a movie in a theater for the first time when I was in Ohio. I was very surprised because the seats were not assigned! However, I will never forget watching Fantastic Beasts there.
