I was really happy to see a clear increase in your motivation during today’s lesson! You listened very carefully and took notes on important points. Also, your Japanese pronunciation is still really beautiful! I’m sure it’s because you watch anime with Japanese audio. Please keep it up!
Today, we mainly studied three things.
First, we practiced a “magic phrase” for when you have trouble in Japan:
“Um, excuse me, but could you speak English, please?”
We practiced using it in situations like cafés and restaurants.
Next, we studied words for locations and places.
We practiced expressions like:
“koko (here), soko (there), asoko (over there),”
and “Toire wa doko desu ka?” (“Where is the restroom?”)
And finally, we learned our promised topic: negative expressions!
For the first time, we studied:
“Watashi wa ○○ ja arimasen.” (“I am not ○○.”)
“Watashi wa ○○ ga suki ja arimasen.” (“I don’t like ○○.”)
But you are such a kind person that you don’t seem to dislike many things! Haha.
The only thing you said you don’t like was natto! Haha.
We had such a fun and meaningful time together.
Next week, let’s practice more useful phrases for your trip to Japan in July.
I’m also really looking forward to seeing you again and sharing anime recommendations together♪
