Also, we began to study Lesson 10, na‑adjectives.
Here are some of the phrases we practiced:
Lion wa kiken desu. (A lion is dangerous.)
In this sentence, kiken is a noun. It does not describe anything; it simply means“danger,”followed by desu.
Lion wa kiken‑na doubutsu desu. (A lion is a dangerous animal.)
In this sentence, kiken‑na describes the noun doubutsu (animal). This is how a na‑adjective works.
When a na‑adjective comes before a noun, it needs na.
Adjectives are used to modify nouns. They describe or give more information about the noun.
We will continue studying this part in the next lesson.

Thank you for joining the lesson on Sunday. It always makes me happy to see you! Starting today, we will begin studying with the Intermediate 1 textbook.
First of all, we learned how to make invitations and how to respond to them.
For example:
"iki-masenka” → Would you like to go?
"tabe-masenka” → Would you like to eat?
Positive answers:
"hai , iki-mashou → Yes, let's go.
"hai, tabe-mashou" → Yes, let's eat.
In Japanese, we use this expression when we want to decline politely.
If you say "no", "sumimasen, chotto…isogashii desu”→ I'm sorry, but… I' m busy,,/ Sorry, maybe another time…
Also,'minai?’and‘tabenai?’are casual invitation phrases.
We can use them with friends or relatives, but they are not appropriate for people we don't know well or for those who are above us in status.
Right now, we are studying the polite forms.
Later on, we will learn the casual expressions as well.
