Using example sentences such as “Kore wa pen desu,” “Sore wa pen desu,” and “Are wa pen desu,” we learned the basic usage of “kore,” “sore,” and “are.”

Thank you for coming to the lesson. I’m sorry that we couldn’t have the lesson properly due to problems with my computer and network connection. As speaking practice, you talked about your trip last week. It was unfortunate that you couldn’t meet your friends because of all the problems along the way. Since it had been some time since our last lesson, we read aloud Chapter 1 of the manga Flying Witch again. Next time, we’ll finally review Chapter 1 by creating character profiles and going over some of the more difficult vocabulary.
